Manitou Springs

“Manitou,” a Native American word for “ great spirit,” describes this beautiful mountain community. Eight naturally carbonated mineral spring fountains, located throughout this historic town, run free for all who wish to enjoy their healing benefits. The Ute, Cheyenne and other Native Americans considered this area sacred for its healing springs and clean mountain air.

Manitou streets buzz daily with art, music, galleries, gift shops, dining, bed & breakfasts and more.

Some "must do's" include:

a visit to the top of Pikes Peak,

explore the Cave of the Winds,

and discover the ancient Anasazi Cliff Dwellings!

And of course, for the athletically inclined, the infamous Manitou Incline, a 2-mile, 2000 foot vertical climb to test your strength and endurance!
